Whew

I went on a friendly hiatus! I had more than a dozen friends over for brunch today. It took a few days to prepare my house and I wanted to get a jumpstart on the cooking so I took a little crafting hiatus. I'm pooped, but I'll be back in a crafting frenzy in no time! We got a little Tim inky after brunch. I'll post tags soon.

I had to change my security settings on my blog because spammers have found me. Do they seriously make money off posting crap "opportunities"? So, you'll now have to type in the little word/code thingee.

Night all.

Day 3

A mini tag made with Fiskars acrylic stamps and the Fiskars stamp press. I love that you can align things so easily with the stamp press. I'm NOTORIOUS for dropping my acrylic block in the wrong spot and then my whole project goes to pot. I used Archival and Distress ink.

Just something small and cute that I can stick on a little gift. As the sentiment reads, ENJOY!

Plan B

Recently, I found Milpa tomatoes in the Mexican market so I bought two bags. I meant to make mole ('tis the season), but I'm not feelin it! Instead, I decided to make a Milpa/Tomatillo salsa verde. Oh how I love salsa verde. It came out delish! Might just have to have some taquitos tonight so I can enjoy my salsa.

And for lunch, on this brisk afternoon, a nice sopa de fideo (angelhair). Mmm. Should be all carbed up and ready to craft in no time!

Day 1

A few eyeballed measurements and I whipped out the pieces I needed to cut with my Fiskars rotary paper trimmer and glued them in place with multi-medium matte gel. I stamped the Fiskars Scalloped Sentiment onto white cardstock and cut out the center to create a mask. I didn't want the center of the Scalloped Sentiment circle stamp, just the border. I stamped it again and Sepia Archival Ink, then filled in the center with the a second-generation Basic Grey Santa Baby snowflake stamp impression. I stamped "Merry Christmas" in Lettuce colored Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber. Fussy cut them with my Fiskars softouch micro-tip sciissors. Applied some Rock Candy Stickles to both pieces and I was ready to adhere them into place. I adhered the sentiment with a foam dot. The scalloped circle was attached with a Fiskars taperunner.
